The Dolomites (Dolomiti in Italian; Dolomiten in German; Dolomitis in Friulian) are one of the mountain groups of the Alps. It is situated in northern Italy, most of it in the province of Belluno in the Venetoregion. Geologically, the mountains are made of light-colored dolomite limestone, carved into breathtakingly photogenic shapes by erosion. The shape of these mountains is very spectacular, which makes this place a popular destination for photographers.

- Transfer to Selva di Cadore with our modern luxury minibus for 8 people. If you arrive by plane we will pick you up at the airport. We will use this for the duration of the journey.
- Car rental, driver, fuel, tolls, parking fees, accommodation fees, breakfast, dinner. Availability of two professional photographers/guides.
- Two professional photographers/guides available 24 hours a day, helps with photography.
The main focus of the tour is on photography, and the program is designed to bring home as many and beautiful photos as possible at the end of the tour.
Tour description: Dolomites photo tour
Dolomites photo tour: Day 1
Traveling from Nagykanizsa with a modern luxury minibus. If you arrive by plane we will pick you up at the airport or meeting with the group in our accommodation in Selva di Cadore in the heart of the Dolomites. We spend the afternoon hours at the nearby Giau Pass taking pictures as much as we can. We return to our accommodation for dinner. If the group would like to take star photos at night and the weather permits, we will return to the field. We visit easily accessible places by car. It is important that we do not go on performance tour.
Dolomites photo tour: Day 2
After breakfast we go to a very spectacular and exciting location. We stop for photos at several locations along the way. We leave the bus near the peaks of The Tre Cime di Lavaredo (Three Sisters) and we go around the huge block. From the east side there’s a wonderful view of the Sisters. In this area, we can visit several hotspots and hike, keeping in mind the needs of the team. On the way back, we can stop at several locations, depending on the enthusiasm of the team and the light conditions.
Dolomites photo tour: Day 3
We leave on time so that after breakfast we can start our day trip in a light suitable for photography. Our destination is Lake Braies. In the afternoon, we plan an easy hike around Cinque Torri, taking the perfect photo position. On the way we visit Pocol, it’s a devilish place and we can take pictures of some of the most beautiful peaks in the area.
Dolomites photo tour: Day 4
We set this day together with our passengers during the evening’s conversations. We flash the possibilities and design it with the will of the majority. It could even be a city if the team wants to take pictures of the Italian atmosphere.
Dolomites photo tour: Day 5
We take our way home (if we want to go back to the place we saw during our tour, we can do it after breakfast). Say goodbye to Dolomites and check out from accommodation.
We reserve the right to change the program! The main purpose of our trip is photography. It’s to get the best possible photos in the best possible places. However, this sometimes requires sacrifices: unexpected situations – weather changes and other environmental factors – may overwrite the planned program. For us, participants’ safety is of the utmost importance: if a program is canceled or delayed, it will only be to provide the best possible experience.
If due to an unexpected event, a program cannot be completed at all at the announced time, the tour guide will try to reorganize and regroup the programs.
The most important thing for the organizers is to have fun, but the final decision is theirs and must be followed by all participants. Good health is a prerequisite for traveling. Serious cardiovascular problems, nervous and mental disorders can be disqualifying factors. Consult your doctor if your personal condition requires it.
Would you like to take professional photos too?
Our guides will show you what to do and how to do it. We deal with everyone individually. We adapt to the circumstances. If the weather or the lighting conditions are inadequate, we will return to photographing the subject in the most appropriate conditions. One thing is for sure: thanks to the memory card in our camera (not to mention ours), the memory of travel will be with us forever.
Dolomites photography tour: accommodation
4-star hotel with indoor pool, next to the mall, near Misurina Lake.
Rooms have balconies, free Wifi, a flat-screen satellite TV and a minibar. Featuring a shower, private bathroom also comes with a hairdryer and free toiletries.
Helpful staff. Great buffet breakfast. There is also a very good restaurant in this hotel. During our tour we use the same accommodation, we come back „home” every night. Photography and cultivation play an important role in our journey. In the paradise of landscape photography, we can quickly learn the best settings. The photo tour is suitable for both beginner and advanced photographers. A small group allows us to respond to individual needs. You will have plenty of opportunities to practice and share your experiences with like-minded people. We spend the evenings with conversation and picture evaluation.
